One Minute to Midnight

Postby notlaw99 on Wed Sep 12, 2012 2:42 am

The National Security Archive has a new briefing book on hour by hour activity about the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 one author has done a lot of research in relation position of US and Soviet ships locations during the period. Five Soviet ships had turned back prior the quarantine announcement, while others [one carrying nuclear weapons] continued to Cuba. Also mentioned were short range tactical surface to surface nuclear cruise missiles for attacking Guantanamo Bay. It comes in 5 short episodes so it is a quick read.

No endorsement of accuracy of information on my part is expressed or implied. Look it over and make you own decisions as it is plugging a new book.
