Quote from the email I received:
On September 26 this year, the Association of Air Force Missileers will be working with the National Park Service for the grand opening of the new Visitor Center at the Minuteman Missile NHS near Wall, SD. AAFM is assisting in the organization, participation and conduct of the grand opening ceremony, which is tentatively planned for 1000 on September26. The event will feature comments by several senior Defense and Department of the Interior/National Park Service leaders. The majority of the AAFM board will be present and AAFM will present a painting by board member Joe Andrew for display in the new Visitor Center.
AAFM will arrange hotel accommodations in Rapid City and bus transportation to and from the ceremony. As we work the details, we will advise our members of the exact plans for the event.
We need to hear now from those who plan to attend this historic event. We will block rooms at a special rate at one of three adjacent hotels on the east side of Rapid City. If you think you may attend. email us now and tell us how many days you will stay. While the ceremony itself will only involve a two night stay, we realize that some of you may want to enjoy the Black Hills for a few more days. Just let us know your planned arrival and departure dates and we will add you to list of those who plan to attend.
A formal registration will follow in a few weeks, after we make the detailed hotel and bus arrangements.
Respond now to firstname.lastname@example.org or reply to this email if you plan to join us.
