Can anyone tell me if any IG ever inspected any portion of the ALCS?

When I was assigned to 4ACCS, 87-91, the HQ SAC/DOCAL staff (Maj "Buddy" Ebsen) augmented the SAC IG when they inspected the 28BMW on base. We got an EWO test, generated some ALCC aircraft to alert status along with the bombers and tankers, and had our training plans and scripts, etc. audited/reviewed. However, it was NOT the same level of scrutiny a missile wing inspection underwent.

It was essentially the same in the 2 ACCS at Offutt, at least it was from 1992-1995. Maj Ebsen had become a colonel but DOCAL was still the inspector, until SAC went away. When STRAT stood up, the strictly ALCS guys (non-battlestaff) were placed under ACC, then AFSPC, and there was no one in either command who knew enough about ALCS to inspect us. We never complained!
