Hi Bob! How is life in Florida these days? Yeah, finally got around to registering on here.

For the rest of you, yes it is I, Doug Harvey, now Doug Harvey, LTC, AKARNG (RETIRED). I got the axe during the drawdown in 95 while I was in Korea, so joined the Alaska Army National Guard and finally retired June of 2010. Still here on the Last Frontier and working for the State of Alaska Department of Corrections.... (it's not that different from the military). 742 SMS from March 1983 to April 1987. Was orignally partnered with Chuck Sammon, then became MCCC with Keith Gelinas as deputy etc, moved to Eielson AFB Alaska as a Command Post Controller (Command and Control Staff Officer) then to Osan AB, ROK as Chief of Command Post, and finally out of the USAF in April 1995.

The rest of the time I spent in Army uniform, as a Medical Operations Officer, finally retiring as Deputy Commander (Acting Commander) of the Alaska Army National Guard Medical Detachment in 2010 after spending two years in Germany as Senior National Guard Advisor at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (2005-2007), and two missions to Mongolia in 2007, finally attending Command and General Staff Course at Fort Gordon Georgia in 2009-2010 and retiring due to mandatory retirment (maximum commissioned service) in June 2010.

Living the good life. Huntin and fishin is the mission!

Doug Harvey! I was just looking through the small log book I kept on my alerts; When, Where, What Happened, with whom and TCC callsigns, etc. My last entry reads: LAST ALERT!!!! Relieved by Sammon and Harvey. Go Figure!
