Clearly I have made an error.

I don't think most Americans think badly about us now...if they think about us at all. The Cold War is over and all the fear that episode in our history brought with it has pretty much vanished.

After the President's announcement on Cuba yesterday, it is obvious people DO remember and think about us...well, not us per se, but the fear of someone having missiles pointed at us. You would think that Cuba still had those missiles and was a threat to our national security the way some people are screaming about it. We have diplomatic relations with China, Russia, and even Vietnam. Cuba has caused our country far less consternation than any of those. Besides, when the Castro Brothers finally do kick the bucket, which I don't think is that far away, the US will be poised to influence the Cuban people better than any other nation in the world...and that would enhance our national security greatly. I think this is a brilliant stroke by our country, and I support it fully.

I'd sure buy one! Let me know what he says.

He never answered my query. I have tried to contact him through eBay with no luck. He had left the USAF and was starting a new job (he told me), and would probably not be making any more...at least in the near term as he was moving in order to work in the civilian world. I will keep watching and if I see something I will post it here.
